RBT Behavior Reduction Quiz
Behavior Reduction is about 16 percent of the RBT exam and produces its most scenario-heavy questions: a behavior, its function, and four plausible responses of which only one matches the function. This quiz trains that function-matching reflex on extinction, differential reinforcement and antecedent strategies.
The single most tested idea in this domain: interventions match functions, not behaviors. The same screaming gets opposite treatment depending on whether it earns attention or escape.

What the Behavior Reduction domain covers
The Task List items include identifying the essential components of a written behavior reduction plan, describing common functions of behavior, implementing interventions based on antecedent modification, differential reinforcement procedures, extinction procedures, and crisis or emergency procedures according to protocol.
Expect at least one question on extinction side effects, the burst and spontaneous recovery, and one on what happens when extinction is applied inconsistently. Intermittent accidental reinforcement making behavior stronger and more persistent is the concept the exam most wants you to have internalized, because it is the one that fails hardest in real practice.
